The American Craft Council presents Object Stories: San Francisco, an evening of live storytelling celebrating the profound connections between people and the handmade objects that shape their lives.
Hosted at KQED Commons, the event will feature a diverse group of Bay Area artists, makers, and community voices. Each speaker will share a handmade object that holds personal significance and tell the story behind it, revealing how craft intersects with memory, identity, creativity, and belonging.
Object Stories is a signature storytelling series presented by the American Craft Council, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to building a world where objects matter, makers thrive, and craft connects. Each event brings together artists, writers, and cultural leaders to explore the meaning and impact of craft through personal stories inspired by objects they cherish.
